There is no magic pill or potion for getting fit. I learned this through my own trials and errors...In 2015, I made a decision to look for a professional that would not only train me but educate me on how to kick some of my bad habits and embrace my full potential in health and fitness.
That's when I met Jen.
We started on our journey to transformation...unfortunately I experienced a series of personal challenges that prevented me from being able to continue to train with her...I spiraled into a well of depression. I never thought of myself as an emotional eater but I became one... I was stressed, and sad and I would eat and then try and sleep away my reality it didn’t matter to me at that time. I just felt drained from life. All of this caused me to gain 28 pounds I didn't know how I was going to get out of this funk. I knew that if I didn’t make a change soon, my weight would continue to balloon and my health would suffer. I just didn't have the means and didn't know where to start.
During that time Jen would always check in on me, even though I wasn't an active client. She made it a point to let me know that she was there and willing to help if she could. I told her I was having a rough time and that's when she proposed that I start coming to her group training classes to help me get back in shape. So I started going... One would think in a group setting there is no way a trainer would be able to pay attention to everyone and their needs. Well I am proof that it can be done, I truly don't know how she does it but she manages to pay full attention to everyone... I swear she has eyes on the back of her head even when I am trying to cut corners or whining she gets on me. Which I love but I hate...lol! She truly does care about her clients and pushes us to our potential because she believes in us all. I am proud to say, since being back with Jen I have lost 21 pounds, and am currently training for this year's Boston Marathon.
I am over the moon about the changes I have seen and I attribute it to Jen's consistency in my well-being and refusal to see me fail. Jen is an awesome trainer. She is the perfect combination of tough and warm, and she works with the whole person--mentally,emotionally and physically. Jen is personable and has a lot of integrity. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge and enthusiastic commitment to her work and ultimately her clients, provides the perfect scenario for success and sets foundations for a new healthier lifestyle! She is not done with me yet and I look forward to what's next...I will always recommend her without reservation.
